Hainan is one of the important hometowns of overseas Chinese in China. There are more than 3.9 million overseas Chinese of Hainanese living in 59 countries and regions around the world. Most of the overseas Chinese are overseas, but they return to their hometown to invest in business or help hometown public welfare, or dissemination of Hainan culture. On the other hand, the people of the hometown also care about the overseas Chinese, and hope that their relatives will come home to visit and build a better tomorrow for the free trade port together with their hometown elders.
